Our History
Since the foundation in the 1830’s, before the City of Chicago was incorporated, the Chicago Park District has set out to maintain our pristine Lake Front, Magnet Parks, Neighborhood and Community Parks for the residents of the City of Chicago. As they look towards the future, the Chicago Park District looks to bring high speed telecommunications infrastructure to our community to allow our residents to enjoy the outdoors, while having the ability to remain connected throughout our network of over 600 Parks.

Access to high speed, affordable internet and cellular telecommunication networks is a keystone to success in a 21st Century City. Success within an organization, government entity as well as our community. A Chicago continues to expand into the 21st Century, the Chicago Park District is here to offer you access to high speed, affordable internet and cellular telecommunication networks throughout our Park System.
Why The Chicago Park District?
“Nature surrounds us, from parks and backyards to streets and alleyways. Next time you go out for a walk, tread gently and remember that we are both inhabitants and stewards of nature in our neighborhoods”
David Suzuki
